For the 2008, NPS day events are getting shaped into a full-fledged learning festival for writers of all genres and spoken word artists of all levels!
From pentameter to publishing to film screenings to managing depression, Lyrics on the Lake presents a broad arsenal of tools for the development of every attendee.
For example, Festival attendees will enjoy a series called PenTactics, which offers instruction and insight on other areas of writing, to include children's books, screenplays and creative nonfiction.
Other series will ignite full-time performers, scout greater opportunities, support poetry organizers in shaping their local communities, and extend tools to enrich your personal lives. Not mention some pretty cool showcases and open mics! Take a peek at what we have lined up for you. In the meantime, please be sure to tell everyone in your community that NPS is THE destination spot for the summer, whether or not they attend as competitors! This year, NPS is for everyone in your community! |
