To participate, poets must:

Register for NPS as part of a team or with a Festival Pass, Slam Pass or All-Access Pass

Be 18 years or older

Read/perform their own original works

Have Fun!
How it works:

Interested poets are strongly advised to register in advance. Only 30 poets accepted.

Poems can be read / performed from memory or from paper
-
At check-in, individual poets will be randomly assembled into three teams
-
Each team will select one of our three charities, and compete on its behalf
-
Each round, three poets --one from each team-- will deliver 60 second excerpts of a poem
-
Audience "votes off" one poet at a time until One Poet Remains

Yes, more than one excerpt from the same poem is permitted (although not recommended ....)

No, group pieces are not allowed

Last Poet Standing receives cash prize AND all poets on her/his team receive prize goodies
