WALKING THE TALK

The KickOff Community Event for NPS 2008

Instead of the "team introduction" effort, we're going to kick off the week by uplifting a few folks in need.  Interested poets will gather in the lobby of the Concourse for a performance visit to one of three local community service centers (youth, inmates or homeless).  Each poet will perform one poem, providing the clients at each Center with an unforgettable experience.  In advance, thank you.

Tuesday, Aug. 5

10:30 am - Meet at Concourse lobby

11 am - Depart for Centers

1:30 pm - Return to Concourse

LYRICS ON THE LAKE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Instead of roasting in right field as part of a softball game, this year we'll spend our NPS Saturday afternoon chillin' on the lakefront enjoying live music.  This free showcase being is presented for NPS by University of Wisconsin's Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives, as well as the Multicultural Student Association.

Saturday, Aug. 8

1 pm - 4 pm
